It is with great pleasure that I pen these few words on the occasion of the official launch of the website of Lawyers Cricket Association of Bangladesh (LCAB). We have had the pleasure of associating with the members of the LCAB for a long period through their contribution to the Lawyers’ Cricket World cup. As the then President of Sri Lanka Lawyers’ Cricket I was especially fortunate to have members of the LCAB taking part in the 6th Lawyers’ Cricket world cup held in Colombo Sri Lanka as part of one of the teams representing Bangladesh. We also had the pleasure of their company at the 7th Lawyers Cricket World cup held in Hamilton New Zealand in 2019/2020.
As part of the international lawyers’ cricket family, members of LCAB have extended their friendship and support for the promotion of friendship through cricket amongst the legal fraternity both on and off the field. The launch of an official website would no doubt further enhance their contribution towards this cause. On behalf of all cricketing lawyers of Sri Lanka I wish Lawyers’ Cricket Association of Bangladesh best of luck in broad basing lawyers cricket in Bangladesh together with other like minded groups.
